The International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM) and the Journal of Marketing (JM) will collaborate to host a reviewer workshop on Tuesday, May 23, 1pm to 4.30pm, at the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) Conference 2023 in Odense, Denmark.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to get acquainted with how to write fair, thorough, and constructive reviews. Martin Schreier (Editor-in-Chief, IJRM) and Hari Sridhar (Editor-in-Chief, JM) will serve as workshop leads, with former editors and other senior marketing scholars serving as facilitators. The workshop will involve interactive, small group learning experiences aimed at demystifying the process of writing a constructive review that identifies the key strengths and weaknesses of a paper, and how it might be improved.
The workshop is targeted at early career scholars (assistant professors, post-docs, research fellows, PhD students in their last year), and the ideal participant would have published at least one paper in (or received a revision invitation from) a leading marketing journal.
To be considered for the reviewer workshop, participants will have to fill out an application form. They need to provide, along with their current CV, a brief motivation statement (200 words max) and their primary methodological area of expertise.
The application deadline is January 23, 2023 16:00 CET Time. Notifications will be sent out end of February/early March
